Gangnam: Small Units, Tall Buildings, Paperwork That Works

An officetel packs a kitchen, laundry and bathroom into a few square meters of plumbing wall. When the single bathroom clogs, there is no second one down the hall — which is why Gangnam calls tend to be urgent, and why we triage texted photos immediately instead of putting you in a queue.

• Toilets in compact units. Officetel toilets often sit on tighter drain geometry than apartment toilets, and wipes or drop-in cleaner tablets stop them fast. Most cases are cleared in a single visit.
• Combined kitchen-laundry drains. Many studios tie the washing machine and sink into one line. Suds backing up into the sink is the classic symptom; the fix is clearing the shared branch, not the visible trap.
• In-unit fixtures on building schedules. High-rise buildings control water shut-offs. For a valve or faucet swap we coordinate the shut-off window with the building desk ourselves, in Korean, and schedule around your workday.
• Ceiling drips in rented units. If water is coming from above, the liability question comes first. Our written findings and photos give your building manager or landlord what they need to move.

If your company pays

Corporate housing and relocation setups are common here, and our billing fits them: card payment on site, cash receipts, or a Korean corporate tax invoice (세금계산서) issued to your employer's business registration. Tell us in the first text if the bill goes to a company — we prepare the paperwork accordingly.
