From blocked to fixed, in six steps
The whole process runs over one SMS thread in English. Here is exactly what happens after you hit send — and what to have ready so it goes fast.
1 Text the symptom, a photo, and your address
The "Text us a photo" button prefills the message for you. Three things make your reply fast:
- What is happening — "toilet backs up when flushed", "kitchen sink drains slowly", "water stain spreading on the ceiling".
- A photo or short video. A ten-second clip of the drain gurgling tells us more than three paragraphs. For suspected leaks, a photo of a recent water bill helps too.
- Your address down to the dong — e.g. "Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Hyundai Villa 3F". The building name matters; many Seoul alleys confuse navigation apps.
2 We text back a range and an arrival window
Based on your photos you get a realistic range for your specific case (see how pricing works), what could move it, and when we can be there. If your description already rules a job out of our scope, we say so instead of showing up anyway.
3 We arrive and confirm the actual cause
Diagnosis comes before any number. When the blockage or leak is not obvious from the fixture, the inspection camera goes into the pipe and you see what we see on the screen.
4 You approve a fixed quote — then work starts
One number, stated before tools come out, with the VAT-inclusive total spelled out. Nothing begins until you agree. If we ever find something bigger mid-job, we stop and re-quote instead of continuing on your dime — you decide before anything continues.
5 The work, the cleanup, the payment
We fix it, show you the result (before-and-after on the camera screen for pipe work), and leave the bathroom the way we found it — minus the problem. Card payment is fine, and you pay after the work is done, not before.
6 Paperwork, if you need it
Cash receipt (현금영수증) or corporate tax invoice (세금계산서) issued on request — useful when your landlord or company is reimbursing the repair, or for a corporate housing allowance.
Prefer to talk instead of type?
Phone calls work in Korean and Japanese — the owner speaks Japanese (お電話も日本語OK). For English, stay on text: it is the channel we can answer quickly and accurately, and it leaves you a written record of the quote.
Showing this to your landlord or realtor
In Korea, who pays often depends on where the fault sits — inside your unit or in the building's shared line. (Our guide on who pays for repairs covers the details.) If you want to loop your landlord in before we visit, copy the message below into KakaoTalk or SMS — it says you have a drainage problem, that you contacted us, and that you would like to discuss who covers the cost once the quote is in:
안녕하세요, 세입자입니다.
집에 배수 문제(변기/하수구 막힘 등)가 생겨서
가까운설비(010-7262-8881)에 연락해 두었습니다.
방문 확인 후 견적이 나오면
비용 부담을 어떻게 할지 상의드리고 싶습니다.
확인 부탁드립니다. 감사합니다.
After the visit we can also give you photos of the cause, which makes that conversation with the landlord considerably shorter.
Ready when you are
One text with a photo and your dong is all it takes to get a range. 24/7 — same rates day, night, weekends and holidays.
